Time: Full Moon between 15th of July and 14th of August - Tree: Holly (Ilex) - Ogham: Tinne
The Moon of Roses falls around Lughnasadh or Lammas, a harvest festival symbolizing the gift of life from the Grain God to feed all the people. The Celts planted Holly as close as possible to their houses as the tree represented the God Cuchulain and kept evil spirits at bay.
Closer to home the rose is also closely connected to the goddesses Frøya and Frigg. The Dog Rose, or Steinnype in Norwegian, was also known as Friggadorn and was only allowed to be plucked on fridays!
The holly in it's darker aspect was usually closely connected to the Goddess, although today the Holly King is represented as a god-like figure. We will be working with darker archetype of the Goddess during this full moon.
The theme for the Moon of Roses is: sacrifice. What do we sacrifice for the greater good? What do we release to make room for? What is something we no longer can deny?
We also allow for rest as this full moon will fall after Lughnasadh, the harvest festival.

Additional information:
What can you expect?
A welcoming atmosphere where we as women can work undisturbed with what comes to the surface. I facilitate smaller circles and initiatives, working with the sacred feminine. Which means: feeling stronger and more confident in our own bodies, trusting our intuition, breaking through our own insecurities, self realized hurtful dogmas and generally create a safe space to work together with other women.
Why can men not attend?
A better way to facilitate mens needs would be through a man being able to hold these spaces. At this moment we are not able to offer this, but will update if this changes at a later time.
What about if you identify as trans/non-binary?
We advice you to check in with the themes being held during the Full Moon and ask yourself if this is something you can work with from a Sacred Feminine perspective. If the themes presented spark something within you and you feel called, you are most welcome. Just know that some of the themes might not totally apply to you. When in doubt, send us a message!
Why do I need to pay for the evening?
A participation fee is required to cover the costs associated with hosting these gatherings, such as refreshments, materials, and the time and effort invested in creating a meaningful experience for all who attend. Your contribution helps to ensure the sustainability of these gatherings and allows us to continue offering these enriching opportunities.
How big are the groups?
Groups are at max. 7 attendees, this includes the facilitator.
