Celebration of the Summer Solstice

What is Litha?

Litha is the name of the pagan holiday that falls on the Summer Solstice. The height of summer! On this longest day of the year we mark the moment where the nights slowly grow longer again. An ancient battle between the Oak and the Holly King.

The Oak King rules from the Winter Solstice (Yule, Vintersolverv) until Midsummer and the days grow longer, the energy larger, but on Midsummers Eve, the Holly King wins the battle and in turn it is the night that grows until Yule again. Symbolically this dance of light and darkness return each and every year.

Fire and... water?

Despite fire taking a big place during this part of the year, water is also a very important element that we will use during the celebration!

There will be a water ceremony at the start of the day gradually building up to a stronger momentum. This celebration happens with likeminded people, but also towards the processes we go through individually.

There will be several rituals throughout the day to strengthen the outside world with your own personal environment. There will therefor be a labyrinth which people can walk in silence to find the answers within.

Tickets available soon.

Faery Night?

Why, what and how?

Faery night is an extra addition to the Midsummer Celebration and is accessible for 16+ only. This is because of the ritual work that will be done at Midsummer Night. Faery Night is only accesible for those who bought the Litha Midsummer Ticket. It is not a standalone event!

As the veil around Midsummer is incredibly thin it is a perfect time to commemorate the fae and creatures living amongst us. We honour them, thank them and use this moment to reflect on our own lives.

It is said that faery realm is more easily accessible during Midsummer Night. All in all a magical moment to be part of and we will be celebrating accordingly.

There will be a night labyrinth with an elemental ceremony, music and storytelling and a nightfire ritual. More information on the night will follow.
